Hi Shenanigan Enthusiasts!

The blustery days are behind us for now. The snow sparkles in the beautiful country sunshine. It’s only 23 degrees outside, it feels so good to breathe in the cold, crisp, fresh air while the sun kisses our noses. Much to be GRATEFUL for.

 

 

As per usual, lots of love and shenanigans happening here at the Funny Farm. I wish I had a camera rolling 24/7 to capture all of it! Every morning the whole crew hears me coming with tunes singing in my pocket, to open up the barn and give them their morning treat. Betty and June are always the first to bumble out followed by Rowdy and the rest of the gang hustling to get a little yummy in their tummies. June in all her enthusiasm to get to the good eats, ran right between my legs today and I nearly fell on my bum. It’s not if, but when I do! Always shenanigans!!

 

The sun says goodnight early this time of year, so I tuck the whole gang away in the barn earlier every evening. More time in the barn means more sh*t to shovel! I changed up my sh*t shoveling tunes this week and turned up one my old running playlists. I found myself dancing with a pitchfork and an audience of curious, furry faces. My Church. You know it’s gonna be a good day when you start out dancing! I laugh at myself and anyone watching would too, but half the fun is not caring. Life is better when I am dancing! It’s so true moving to a good tune can shift our energy when we find ourselves in a funk.

BETWEEN THE RAIN DROPS

After I set my pitchfork dance buddy down and I loved on everyone for a bit I continued doing my chores. As I lugged my buckets of water to fill their trough the song Between the Raindrops started singing from my pocket. Yet another tune from the soundtrack that is my life. A little miracle melody that allowed me to reflect on the rain drops of life I have walked through. These days it's snowflakes but the sentiment is the same. Life will always have storms, it’s about walking through them with the people we love, learning, growing, chasing dreams, LIVING, laughing, taking risks, having faith, talking to God, being GRATEFUL and celebrating both the blessings and the lessons.

 RIDING OFF INTO THE SUNSET

In fairytales riding off into the sunset might include a prince, a white horse and happily ever after. No fairytale here, and I wouldn’t want it any other way. I like real life, the good, the hard, the laughter, the tears, the joy and the pain. I like walking between the raindrops because the storms give the sunshine so much more meaning. I have found and continue to discover my strength in the struggles. Of course, as I learn, grow, and get better the raindrops become fewer and farther apart. Better than a prince, I have a best friend. Neither of us are perfect, but we are FLAWSOME (Molly’s awesome word) and together we are walking through the raindrops. As for riding off into the sunset, there is no white horse but a funny farm to love and snowcat for date night! Yep, boys and toys!!! Jeff is working on building a sledding hill and ski jump for more shenanigans around here!!! The funny farm will no doubt be entertained by the festivities since it's all being set up just outside the barnyard. Walking through the raindrops has made us more conscious of creating our BEST LIFE. Easy, nope. Worth it, ABSOLUTELY. Life is good. I am grateful. Cheers to Funny Farms, Ski Hills and shenanigans!
