Hi Shenanigan Enthusiasts!

An awesome week has come and gone since we last connected! Our oldest son, Kolton graduated from high school. We had a house full of family and friends to help us CELEBRATE this milestone. What better way to celebrate than with laughter, good food, good sips, dancing in the kitchen, and lots of love and shenanigans! Many of them got to meet the FUNNY FARM for the first time. Betty and June (the pigs) were all about the belly rubs, Rowdy and the rest of the gang were happy to get the extra oats they have come to expect when we have visitors. As usual there has been lots of sh*t to shovel. Nothing a good tune and the magic of the morning doesn't make better. I sing along, talk to God to say THANK YOU and soak up the fresh morning air every day! 

THE GRADUATION

GODSPEED LITTLE MAN

Kolton graduating has made me a bit nostalgic recently. It feels like it was yesterday that I sat snuggling him in the hospital the day he was born, Jeff and I were so in awe that he was ours. We turned around and he was off to kindergarten, and now here we are with a young man ready to conquer the world. I know it's both scary and exciting for him to know the world is waiting for all that he has to offer. We all know I have musical brain so on graduation day I sent him the song I used to play for him when he was little, as he fell asleep. I still see is cute little chubby cheeked smile in his superman jammies all tuckered out on the couch. The days were sometimes long but the years sure were short. 

No matter where he goes in this life, my love will always fly to him on angel's wings. It's funny the inspiration I get from the Funny Farm, this week the inspiration they gave me reminded me of how to live my BEST LIFE and the message I want to share with Kolton and Kyler as they both prepare for the future seasons of their lives. LIVE LIKE SOMEONE LEFT THE GATE OPEN. 

LIVE LIKE SOMEONE LEFT THE GATE OPEN

It's true that the grass is greener where you water it in life (definitely a nugget of wisdom that will take anyone far) but sometimes here at the funny farm the grass really is greener or at least more plentiful on the other side of the fence. So I left the gate open and let the whole gang out for some shenanigans! Rowdy ran with his hair flowing in the wind, the 'pacas galloped with a kick in their step, the goats ran amuck jumping about, up onto the tractor and anything else that peaked their curiosity, and the pigs meandered along in the tall grass. They all loved it! Moments like these, I feel the magic. I know God is guiding me. The message I heard as I watched them all frolic about was to LIVE LIKE SOMEONE LEFT THE GATE OPEN. Seize opportunities, have adventures, feel the wind in your hair, run and jump for joy, embrace uncertainty, just go for it! This is the lesson I want to share with our boys and everyone I love, so we can all live our BEST LIFE. 

CELEBRATE

Oh and CELEBRATE often. Celebrate the big stuff and the little stuff, always be looking for what there is to celebrate in each day! The more you look for something to celebrate the more you will find. Sunsets, funny farms, meaningful conversations, time with family and friends, GRADUATING, new chapters, shenanigans, laughing 'til we snort, blessings and lessons (that become blessings), there is ALWAYS something to celebrate! Cheers!!!
